The 31 Days of Oscar is over, so let the good times roll! There’s a ton of great pre-Codes showing in February of all shapes in sizes. Feeling like a ton of Fredric March dramas? Got ’em– he’s star of the month! Constance Bennett weepies? Oh yeah. Weird-ass musical fever dreams? Yep, they’re showing King of Jazz again.

More announcements have come out about the 2019 TCM Film Festival, including The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer in nitrate, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Working Girl, and more. Still only, uh, one pre-Code announced. I know there will be more soon, but the wait is killing me.

One last note: Andrea Rosen, a twitter pal, passed away this month unexpectedly. Her husband is running a fundraiser in support of her favorite charity to honor her memory. Give it a look.

I’ll be drawing the winner from last month’s Patreon contest in a bit and send the book on its merry way on Monday. If you want to support my site, you can become a Patron over at Patreon. Cheers!
