Pre-Code.Com Site News for September 2016

Well, I hope your August was good! You may have noticed that I added a few more reviews than expected– I’m just cool like that. In some ways. September will (mostly) be dedicated to exactly whom I wished I’d been able to cover a lot in August– Fay Wray.

Otherwise, thanks to Summer Under the Stars, I’ve been watching way too many Robert Montgomery, Angie Dickenson, and Brigette Bardot movies. I know, it’s a mixed bag.

TCM’s September schedule is a lot lighter on pre-Codes than Augusts, but there are some gems, as well as a few movies I’d never even heard of. Check ’em out!

My sister will be thrilled with the Wheeler and Woolsey flicks. Being more refined in nature, I will enjoy a spot of tea with my pal George Arliss.

So grand to have the line-up so conveniently laid out for the month. You are a boon to my life.

To my mind you can never have too much Robert Montgomery so you did good. This month has a couple of my pre-Code favorites – Bitter Tea and Twentieth Century. I bet you Twentieth Century doesn’t surprise you 😉
