Pre-Code Movies on TCM and Filmstruck in April 2018

Site News for April 2018

Ah, April. It has finally stopped raining here in California (not that I’m complaining), and the birds are chirping eagerly that the annual Turner Classic Movies Film Festival (TCMFF) will soon be knocking at our door once more.

The good news? I got media credentials again, so all of you will be subjected to my daily updates and boozy ‘hot takes’ on things such as how deeply magical it all is and how sleepy it all makes me. So far, only a few pre-Codes have been announced for TCMFF: the excellent Girls About Town, the cute-enough Finishing School, and the rare I Take This Woman (rare enough that I haven’t been able to track it down). I’ll make a big post when they announce the full schedule

There will be a few bonuses over at Patron, too, including a giveaway and a few exclusive videos, if you support me there. And if you do, I appreciate it!

Back to our digital world. I changed around the way the I listings below, so take a look. April 4th/5th on TCM are going to be great as a bunch of Michael Curtiz pre-Codes get rolled out. It looks like Filmstruck is getting a bunch of Busby Berkeley movies, too, so life is good.
