January2014Pre-Code.Com Site News for January 2014

After a nice and relaxing December, it’s time to get back in the swing of things in January. This month on TCM is packed full of rare and strange pre-Code offerings, including a half day dedicated to director Charles Brabin and a day full of pre-Code Joan Crawford. There’s also repeat showings of It Happened One Night and Lady for a Day, which are the perfect movies for cold nights and warm fuzzy blankets in my opinion.

If I’m slow to respond to comments this month, that’s because I’m in the process of moving. Don’t be offended, I still like you. 🙂

Upcoming Reviews in January

  • We’ll have a couple of movies that have brief color segments in the new-to-1934 three strip Technicolor.
  • Some Fay Wray and some Ginger Rogers since I can’t seem to avoid them lately.
  • Two movies that are studios grabbing their comedic talent and just telling them to go for it– with very mixed results.
