Attention all readers in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area! At the Hill Center in Abraham Lincoln Hall for the next three weeks, there’s a series of showings of classic pre-Code movies called Tough Dames in Satin Slips. The showings include a discussion led by Neil Minow of Movie Mom and independent writer Margaret Talbot.
Sadly, I only heard about the screenings this week, so you guys missed the showing of perennial favorite Baby Face on the 15th. However, there are still three more Friday night screenings you should definitely check out. Click on the listings below to be taken to the event page:
- Virtue, November 22nd @ 7 PM (I recently reviewed this movie, and it’s aces)
- Heat Lightning, December 6th @ 7 PM
- The Public Enemy, December 13th @ 7 PM
If you end up going, leave me a comment and let it know it was. Wish I could be there!
