Happy April, everyone! Uh, I guess to everyone who isn’t heavily invested in either the stock market or global stability. As someone who has read extensively about The Great Depression, I will let you know that, overall, it wasn’t great. Just my two cents.

Apologies to everyone for being late on this post. I spent my kids’ spring break traveling around Wales and England, getting a little too giddy when I see Wimpole Street or staying a night in the filming location for one of my favorite TV shows.

This trip also, sadly, means I will not get the chance to head to the TCMFF in Los Angeles this year. I’m bummed to be missing showings of pre-Codes like Moonlight and Pretzels, Me and My Gal, and Morocco, which would all be quality engagements. But I am hoping to attend in 2026, if not to enjoy the warmth of SoCal again than at least to hawk my upcoming book once more.

Anyway, watch some old movies this month. That’s what I’m going to do anyway.
