Pre-Code Movies on TCM in May 2017

Pre-Code.Com Site News for May 2017

Things are going alright here. I managed, within a very short amount of time, to pick up not one but two part time librarian jobs. Yay! Money! Sweet money I can send straight to Warner Archive!

Since I’m still trying to find childcare, things are touch and go with the site. I’m hoping once I get more-regular care for my kid, I’ll be able to sit down and really revise a few areas that need some gardening, as well as reinvest time in a few old reviews.

TCM this month is a bounty of riches, thanks in no small part to Clark Gable being the Star of the Month. Every single one of his pre-Code films is being shown this month, which is amazing. There’s also an evening of Busby Berkeley musicals, some Doug Fairbanks Jr., plus a few showings on Memorial Day weekend. Get your DVRs ready to go!

  1. Congratulations on your jobs. I’ve been looking for a library job–page, circulation desk, anything–to supplement my income, but the offered schedules don’t work around my shitty-paying, full time, work from home, stress-inducing call center job. Such is life. Give me a library job any day.
